Slaughter and May M-real on Disposal of Graphic Paper Business
Slaughter and May advised M-real on the disposal of its Graphic Paper Business for EUR 750 million to Sappi Limited. The Agreement was signed on 29 September, 2008. The sale comprises the Kirkniemi and Kangas mills in Finland, the Stockstadt mill in Germany and the Biberist mill in Switzerland. As part of the transaction, M-real and Sappi have also entered into a long-term agreement on the supply of pulp and wood and other smaller services and supplies. We worked together with M-real's other legal advisors, Hengeler Mueller, Roschier, Bär & Karrer and Schönherr, who advised on German, Finnish, Swiss and Austrian matters respectively.
