Adam Gallagher, one of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s restructuring and insolvency partners, was named legal adviser of the year at the annual Institute for Turnaround Awards held on Monday 1 December. The Institute for Turnaround (IFT) is an independent professional body representing the corporate restructuring industry; its awards involve independent turnaround executives, advisers, bankers, investors and financiers. Commenting on the award, Freshfields restructuring partner Adam Gallagher commented: ‘I am delighted to receive the award, which is a reflection of the very strong restructuring team we have at Freshfields. The team’s consistency, professionalism and commitment within the typically challenging context of corporate restructurings deserves full recognition.’ Ken Baird, head of the firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice added: ‘This is a great individual honour for Adam and reflects his rise in stature in the restructuring market.
