International legal practice Norton Rose LLP is advising Société Générale Asset Management S.A on the sale of its London-based asset management subsidiary, Société Générale Asset Management UK (SGAM UK) to GLG Partners, Inc. SGAM UK is a long only fund manager with assets under management of approximately US$8 billion. The transaction is expected to complete during the first half of 2009, subject to regulatory approval. The Norton Rose LLP team is being led by corporate finance partners Richard Sheen and Adam Kirby. The corporate team included Anne Ledingham (Of Counsel), Sarah McKellar, Sara Hamid, Sonia Pinto, Nick Evans, Erez Noonoo and Georgina Axon. Partner Jonathan Herbst is leading on regulatory matters assisted by Rachel Smith and Damisi Johnson. The other team members include: Paul Griffin and Nick Howard (employment), Monique Fry and Richard Latham (incentives), Dominic Stuttaford and Andrew Roycroft (tax), Lesley Browning and Jon Khoo (pensions) and James Russell (IP and IT). Allen & Overy (Mark Dighero) are acting for GLG.
