Norton Rose Studio Legale has advised Interbanca, Centrobanca, MPSC Capital Services and Banca Etruria in connection with a €50 million project financing for the development, construction and management of a 12MW biomass plant to be located in Anagni (near Rome). The plant will be fuelled with pomacethe residue which remains after grapes have been pressed in the process of making wine or grappa) generated by the distillery of Distillerie Bonollo S.p.A, one of the largest grappa producers in Italy. ( Distillerie Bonollo is sponsoring the project with Alerion Energie Rinnovabili, a company specialising in the development of renewable power plants. The project will also co-generate steam. Arturo Sferruzza led the Norton Rose Studio Legale team for the banks on this transaction, assisted by Associates Gennaro Mazzuoccolo, Laura Passoni, Marco Gelmetti and Cristina Fugazza. Internal legal teams advised Distillerie Bonollo and Alerion Energie Rinnovabili on this transaction.
