International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised oil and gas exploration and production company Endeavour International Corporation on its agreement, announced today, to sell its Norwegian subsidiary Endeavour Energy Norge AS to VNG-Verbundnetz Gas AG for USD $150 million. The transaction is subject to certain government approvals and regulatory compliance processes. Jeff Roberts commented: ‘We have been very pleased to be able to assist Endeavour in this very important strategic step to sell its interests in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.’ Freshfields' team was led by corporate partners Jeff Roberts and Jonathan Rees, and included partner Nicholas Spearing (antitrust, competition and trade), consultant Michael Thompson (tax) and associates Mark Williams (corporate), Marie-Claire Strawbridge (ACT) and Faye Klempka (tax).
