International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised OC Oerlikon Corporation AG, Pfäffikon, one of the world's leading Swiss based high-tech industrial groups, on the agreement with its consortium of banks to amend its existing CHF 2.5bn (EUR 1.651bn) credit facility. The amendment has been entered into with a view to providing flexibility and headroom for Oerlikon in the current economic environment and financing stability going forward. Oerlikon's revised proposal met with the overwhelming support of its banks. Freshfields finance partner Ian Frost comments: ‘We are delighted to have assisted Oerlikon with the new terms of this credit facility, which will give the company greater flexibility to pursue its business strategy’. Freshfields’ team was led by finance partner Ian Frost and included finance associates Viva Jung-Heiliger and Chun Wing Yeung, working closely with Björn Bajan, General Counsel and Dr Marc Pfeffer, Head of International Legal Affairs at Oerlikon.
