International legal practice Norton Rose LLP has advised Saudi Oger on the sale of its interest in Telemobil S.A. (a well established mobile operator in Romania) to Cosmote Mobile Telecommunications S.A. (Cosmote) for €207 million, split approximately, €61 million for equity value and €146 million for assumption of debt and other obligations. The deal signed 30 June 2009. Completion of the transaction is subject to obtaining various consents. Cosmote is the largest mobile network operator in Greece and is listed on the Athens stock exchange. The Norton Rose LLP team was led by corporate partner Alan Crookes assisted by associates Sarah Tonks, Sarah Fuller, Camilla de Moraes and Esther Yee. Andrew Roycroft advised on tax matters, partner Ali Triptree, who has a long standing relationship with Saudi Oger, and associate Tim Waghorn advised on the banking side and partner Mike Knapper and associate Miranda Byrne-Hill advised on IP related issues. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP advised Cosmote.
