advised
global
energy
company
BP
on
the
sale
of
its
wind
farm
business
in
India
to
independent
power
producer
Green
Infra
Limited,
an
Indian
entity
owned
by
funds
managed
by
India's
leading
infrastructure-focused
private
equity
fund
"IDFC
Private
Equity".
The
sale,
which
was
completed
today,
was
of
BP's
subsidiary,
BP
Energy
India
Private
Limited,
which
owns
and
operates
three
wind
farms
with
a
total
generating
capacity
of
approximately
100
megawatts
(MW).
The
three
wind
farms
comprise
a
40MW
project
in
Dhule,
Maharasthra,
a
36.3MW
project
in
Bharmasagara,
Karnataka
and
a
23.1MW
project
in
Telagi,
Karnataka.
BP
will
continue
to
have
major
business
activities
in
India,
with
a
total
of
over
1,500
staff
in
the
country,
and
continues
to
actively
explore
new
opportunities
and
long
term
material
growth
options
for
all
its
businesses,
such
as
Castrol
India
and
Tata
BP
Solar.
