Shearman & Sterling Advises on Johnson & Johnson $10 Billion Credit Facility

Shearman & Sterling represented Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. as joint lead arrangers and joint books managers of a $10 billion 364 day guaranteed revolving credit facility for Johnson & Johnson. This credit facility for Johnson & Johnson is one of the numerous investment grade revolving credit facilities that Shearman & Sterling's Finance Group closes each year. Johnson & Johnson operates in three segments: Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Diagnostics and Consumer. The Pharmaceuticals division makes drugs for many ailments, such as neurological conditions, blood disorders, autoimmune diseases, and pain. The Medical Devices and Diagnostics division offers surgical equipment, monitoring devices, orthopedic products, and contact lenses as well other among things. Johnson & Johnson's Consumer division makes over-the-counter drugs and products for skin and hair care, oral care, first aid, and women's health. The Shearman & Sterling team included partner William E. Hirschberg (New York-Finance Group) and counsel Susan L. Hobart (New York-Finance Group).
