Slaughter and May, Hong Kong, advised GS Capital Partners VI Fund, L.P. in relation to its subscription for HK$1,897 million (US$243 million) convertible bonds due 2014 and warrants to subscribe for ordinary shares in the share capital of Geely Automobile Holdings Limited, one of the largest car manufacturers in the PRC. The deal was announced on 23 September 2009 and is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2009. GS Capital Partners is an affiliate of The Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
