Linklaters launches Dutch litigation practice with new partner hire

Linklaters has appointed Daniella Strik, a leading Dutch corporate litigator, to head the firm’s newly launched Dutch litigation practice, in Amsterdam. She will join Linklaters on 1 February 2010. Daniella, previously a partner at NautaDutilh, has extensive experience at the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and is recognised as a leading litigation lawyer in the Netherlands, specialising in corporate litigation, arbitration and corporate governance. Martijn Koopal, managing partner of the Amsterdam office, said: "We are delighted that Daniella is joining us to launch our Dutch litigation practice. Her appointment enables us to meet the strong demand for Dutch litigation advice and is a key next step in the growth of the Amsterdam office and the widening of our client offering." Françoise Lefèvre, global head of litigation, said: "The market of public and private M&A has become increasingly litigious, with company disputes increasing both in number and in size. This has been especially marked in the last 18 months as a result of the credit crisis. We welcome Daniella to the team.
