Freshfields advises banks on £530m financial restructuring of Incisive Media Group

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised a group of banks on the £530m restructuring of leading B2B information provider Incisive Media Group. Freshfields acted for a committee of creditors made up of RBS, Alcentra, Bank of Ireland and Allied Irish Bank. As a result of the successful conclusion of the restructurings, the Group's lenders in the UK have become the majority shareholders in the restructured UK business and reduced UK debt from £230m to £110m; and in the US, there has been a partial conversion of ALM debt in exchange for a 49% equity stake. Freshfields' team was led by finance partner Chris Howard, working with fellow partners Peter Hall (finance), Adrian Maguire (corporate) and Richard Ballard (tax), senior associate Jenny Doak (tax) and associates Michael Steele, Karen Robinson, Ryan Beckwith and Chun Wing Yeung (all finance) and James Scott, Leigh Devenney and Tim Wilmot (all corporate).
