CMS Hasche Sigle advises DE-VAU-GE Gesundkostwerk GmbH on sale of Vegetarian Delicatessen division

DE-VAU-GE Gesundkostwerk GmbH has sold its Vegetarian Delicatessen division, which is based in Lüneburg, Germany, to Tofutown Lüneburger Heide GmbH. The division is being sold in its entirety, including production facilities, land and buildings. The sale is part of DE-VAU-GE's move to focus on its core business of breakfast cereals, snack bars and muesli. A team from CMS Hasche Sigle led by the two lead partners Dr Joachim Dietrich and Dr Hendrik Hirsch advised DE-VAU-GE on all aspects of the transition to focusing on its core business. DE-VAU-GE and Tofutown signed the sales contract for the Vegetarian Delicatessen division on 5 October 2009, with the transaction being scheduled for completion by the end of 2009. Lüneburg-based DE-VAU-GE Gesundkostwerk GmbH is a leading European producer of breakfast cereals, snack bars and muesli. The company mainly sells its products to food retailers.
