Slaughter and May advises Towry Law - acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Edward Jones Limited

Slaughter and May is advising Towry Law, the UK wealth advice business, in relation to the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Edward Jones Limited, the UK subsidiary of the US-based financial services firm Edward D Jones & Co LP, for an undisclosed sum. Edward Jones has a nationwide presence with around 1000 associates including 400 financial advisers, serves 50,000 clients and has £1.5bn of client assets currently under advice. The acquisition was announced on 23 October 2009.
