Slaughter and May advises Standard Life on Sale of Standard Life Bank

Slaughter and May is advising Standard Life plc on an agreement with Barclays Bank PLC to sell Standard Life Bank plc, its UK mortgage and savings business, for £226 million. Standard Life announced the proposed acquisition and agreement on 26 October 2009. The deal is expected to complete early next year.
