SJ Berwin Advises German Fund KGAL on London Acquisition

International law firm, SJ Berwin’s real estate department has advised German fund KGAL on the acquisition of 28/30 Park Street, London SE1 for £31 million. The vendor, Blink Point Limited took a leaseback for 99 years of the residential element of the scheme (the top two floors consisting of eight duplex flats). The rest of the building is let to Hyde Housing Association and is its main Central London office building. SJ Berwin real estate associate Mark Mallon advised KGAL, assisted by Mark Rajbenbach, with Hwai Bin-Lee acting on construction matters. Philippa Satterthwaite, associate of Lawrence Graham acted for Blink Point Limited on the sale, with Nabarro advising on the construction elements. This was the second time that the London office of SJ Berwin has advised KGAL; the firm acted for the German fund on the acquisition of Francis House, SW1 in 2008.
