Freshfields advises Warburg Pincus on Eurocom disposal to EQT

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised FN Cable Holdings (a company held by funds managed and advised by leading private equity firm Warburg Pincus) on the 100% disposal of Eurocom, a Bulgarian cable TV operator, to Bultel Cable Bulgaria (a company held by funds managed and advised by, private equity firm, EQT). As part of the deal, Bultel will also acquire 70% of Cable Tel, another Bulgarian cable TV organisation, from Gene Phillips, to merge the two companies and form Bulgaria’s largest cable TV operator. The deal is among the most significant transactions in the sector for 2009. The Freshfields team advising on the transaction was led by corporate partner Adrian Maguire and included finance partner Peter Hall and was supported by senior associate Rachel Johnson (finance) and associates Bronwyn Thomas (corporate), Verity Stevens (finance), Jonny Birks (finance) and Elija Perrier (finance).
