Shearman & Sterling advises Sal. Oppenheim in takeover by Deutsche Bank

Shearman & Sterling has advised the owners of private bank Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. S.C.A. with regard to the sale of their shares to Deutsche Bank AG. The framework agreement was signed on 28 October. The Shearman & Sterling team on this deal includes the following attorneys: partners Georg F. Thoma (Düsseldorf-M&A), Hans Diekmann (Düsseldorf-M&A), Andreas Merkner (Munich-M&A), Johannes Frey (Munich-Tax) and Winfried M. Carli (Munich-Finance) as well as associates Carsten Bernauer, Rüdiger Schmidt-Bendun, Giuseppe Sferrazza (all Düsseldorf-M&A), Lars Neumann (Munich-Finance) and Norbert Mückl (Munich-Tax). Further, partner Hans Jürgen Meyer-Lindemann (Brussels/Düsseldorf) and counsel Mathias Stöcker (Brussels) are advising on competition-law matters.
