Bird & Bird promotes three lawyers to partnership

International law firm Bird & Bird today announces the promotion of three lawyers to the partnership in Finland, Spain and Sweden respectively. As of 1 November, Bird & Bird has a total of 215 partners. The new partners are: Ella Mikkola heads the Intellectual Property Group and Life Sciences Group in Bird & Bird’s Helsinki office. Ella has diverse experience in intellectual property litigation as well as in other domestic and international intellectual property law matters across various fields of technology. José María Cusí is based in Spain and works in the International Tax Group. He is focused on both domestic and international tax planning as well as tax litigation and tax advice on a recurrent or transactional basis. José has more than 13 years’ experience giving legal advice to Spanish and multinational groups. Sara Sparring is an intellectual property lawyer based in Bird & Bird’s Stockholm office. She has extensive experience advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property work including trade marks, designs, domain names, product piracy and anti-counterfeiting matters. Sara is also experienced in providing legal advice to clients within the Life Sciences sector and on various commercial contracts.
