Slaughter and May advises Cadbury on hostile offer by Kraft

Slaughter and May is advising Cadbury plc, one of the worlds largest confectionery businesses, on the defence of a share and cash unsolicited offer by Kraft Foods Inc. The offer has been rejected by the Board of Cadbury.
The hostile offer that was announced on 9 November 2009 values Cadbury at approximately £9.8 billion ($16.4 billion).
