SJ Berwin advises new client Zenprop on first acquisitions in the UK

International law firm SJ Berwin’s real estate division has acted for the first time on behalf of Zenprop, an affiliated vehicle to the substantial South African based privately held property investment, development and management company, to acquire two assets let on long leases with strong covenants in Manchester and Doncaster. This is the first transaction SJ Berwin has carried out for Zenprop and although details of the deal are confidential, the firm hopes this will be the first of what could be a number of acquisitions by Zenprop in the UK commercial property market. Real Estate partner Patrick Ryan led the deal, with assistance from Associates Steven Cowins and Rachel Scarebelotti. The vendor, Azure Property, was advised by Deepa Debb of Berwin Leighton Paisner.
