Norton Rose announces new banking partner in London

Norton Rose LLP, the international legal practice, has announced that Kate Alliott is to join the Banking practice in London as a debt capital markets partner.
Kate joins from Clifford Chance, where she was a partner in the capital markets group.
She has wide-ranging debt capital markets and structured finance experience, with a specialist focus on project bonds and infrastructure and other utility and structured bond financings. Kate has acted for a range of monolines on primary and secondary deals, and for arrangers, issuers and sponsors. She is also highly experienced in debt restructurings, liability management and equity derivatives.
Kate Alliott commented: “Norton Rose has an increasingly strong reputation in debt capital markets and securitisation. I was particularly drawn by the ambition of the group, as well as the international experience and quality of work undertaken by it . The combination of Norton Rose’s extensive international energy and infrastructure practice and wide client base have made it an extremely attractive proposition for me”.
Laurence Garside, head of the London debt capital markets team said: “Despite market turbulence, we have a busy and growing debt capital markets and securitisation practice and we are delighted to have Kate join our team. Her extensive experience on infrastructure capital markets financings is a particularly good fit for us”.
Jeremy Edwards, global head of banking commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Kate to our Banking team. It is clear that in the current economic environment structural transactions are an important part of capital markets. The addition of Kate Alliott to our already strong debt capital markets practice in London will significantly enhance our team”
