CMS Hasche Sigle advises shareholders in Stahlberg-Roensch Group and Contrack Group on transaction with Vossloh AG

The shareholders in the Stahlberg-Roensch Group and Contrack Group have sold their rail services operations to Vossloh AG. The Stahlberg-Roensch Group specialises in welding and maintaining railway tracks. The services provided by the Contrack Group focus on organising and supervising just-in-time track transportation. The acquired companies are market leaders in their segment in Germany and have a combined workforce of some 300 employees. A team led by partner Dr Christian von Lenthe advised the sellers on all aspects of the transaction. The transaction is currently awaiting approval from the Supervisory Board and Germany’s Federal Cartel Office. The acquisition of the Seevetal-based Stahlberg-Roensch Group, plus Contrack Group (Hanover) companies LOG Logistikgesellschaft Gleisbau mbH and ISB Instandhaltungssysteme Bahn GmbH, is part of Vossloh´s move to establish a new business unit. The new line of business is called Vossloh Rail Service and comprises seven German locations.
