Norton Rose advises ENI on sale of two aircraft fuelling service companies

International legal practice Norton Rose Studio Legale has advised ENI Rete Oil & Nonoil S.p.A. (a subsidiary of Eni S.p.A.) in connection with the sale by ENI, Esso Italiana S.r.l. and Kuwait Petroleum Italia S.p.A. (each a 33.3% owner) of the entire share capital of two aviation fuelling service companies, HUB S.r.l. and PAR S.r.l., to Skytanking S.r.l., the Italian affiliate of Skytanking Holding GmbH, a subsidiary of Marquard & Bahls AG (Germany), a leading independent petroleum company. HUB and PAR provide aviation fuelling services at five major airports in Italy: Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Naples Airport and Palermo Airport. Skytanking is represented at 21 airports in Europe, the US and Asia; this is its first move into the aviation fuelling market in Italy. Luigi Franco, Norton Rose (Rome office) Of Counsel, assisted ENI on this matter, jointly with the in-house counsel. Esso and Kuwait Petroleum were assisted by inhouse counsel and the buyer, Skytanking, was assisted by Angela Rinaldi of Studio Legale Puopolo Geffers and Partners.
