Freshfields advises Gas Natural on EUR 2.2bn bond issue

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has advised Gas Natural Capital Markets, S.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Spanish Ibex-35 company, Gas Natural SDG, S.A., on an issue of new notes with an aggregate principal amount of EUR 2.2bn under its EUR 10bn EMTN programme guaranteed by Gas Natural SDG, S.A. The new notes will be issued in three new series on 27 January 2010 and are to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. Freshfields’ team included corporate partner Monica McConville, in London, working with corporate senior associate James Pointon and trainee solicitor Dominic Jones, in Madrid.
