Hogan & Hartson and Lovells Select International Management Committee

Dr. Hogan & Hartson LLP and Lovells LLP have announced the membership of the International Management Committee for Hogan Lovells. The committee will assume its responsibilities on May 1, 2010, when the combination becomes effective.
The International Management Committee will lead the strategic direction of Hogan Lovells and will be responsible for managing all operations of the combined firms, including:
• client and business development;
• financial and other operational affairs;
• development and implementation of firm policies;
• practice management and expansion; and
• regional management and expansion.

Hogan & Hartson Chairman Warren Gorrell and Lovells Managing Partner David Harris will serve as Co-CEOs of Hogan Lovells and will lead the International Management Committee. The committee will work closely with the recently announced Hogan Lovells Board to make recommendations to the Board on all matters falling within the Board's authority.
International Management Committee members will represent the diversity of practices and geography of the combined firm. Members, who will serve a three-year term, are:
Stuart Stein and Andrew Skipper: Corporate Practice Group Leaders
Steve Immelt and Patrick Sherrington: Litigation, Arbitration and Employment Practice Group Leaders
Ben Hammond and David Hudd: Finance Practice Group Leaders
Andreas von Falck: Intellectual Property Practice Group Leader
Jeanne Archibald: Government Regulatory Practice Group Leader
Emily Yinger: Washington, D.C. Regional Managing Partner
Dennis Tracey: Americas Regional Managing Partner
Andrew Gamble: London Regional Managing Partner
Christoph Küppers: Continental Europe Regional Managing Partner
Crispin Rapinet: Asia & Middle East Regional Managing Partner
Prentiss Feagles and Richard Olver: Finance Co-heads

According to Hogan & Hartson and Lovells, "Establishing the International Management Committee is another significant step toward a seamless combination of our firms as planned for May 1, 2010. We have selected Practice Group Leaders and Regional Managing Partners who are dedicated to building Hogan Lovells to benefit our clients, lawyers, and staff."
The combination is subject to the firms obtaining the necessary regulatory clearances.

Biographies

Jeanne Archibald is the Chair of Hogan & Hartson's international trade group, practicing principally in the area of national security reviews of foreign direct investment, economic sanctions, export controls, and anti-money laundering issues as well as international trade agreements. She also serves as the firm's Managing Partner for Practice Management.

Andreas von Falck is currently the head of Lovells' international commerce & real estate practice and a member of Lovells' management committee, the International Executive. He specializes in patent litigation with a focus on the life-sciences and high-tech industries.

Prentiss Feagles is a Co-director of the Hogan & Hartson tax practice group, practicing principally in the areas of corporate and partnership taxation. He also serves as the firm's Managing Partner of finance. He is the partner within the tax practice group with overall responsibility for tax matters related to the firm's REIT and real estate securities practice.

Andrew Gamble works within the banking and corporate finance area at Lovells. He is heavily involved in the fields of commodity and project finance, acting both for borrowers and bank syndicates. The structured finance work has entailed advising banks and structuring financings for the benefit of parastatal and commercial entities in Africa, Latin America, Middle East, and Russia.

Warren Gorrell has been Chairman of Hogan & Hartson since 2001. He is a Co-director of the corporate, securities, and finance practice group, and his practice focuses on M&A and capital markets transactions for public companies and financial institutions. He is the leader of the firm's REIT and real estate securities practice.

Ben Hammond is a Co-chair of the Hogan & Hartson bankruptcy and lending practice group. His experience includes significant financings of mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure projects, real estate development, joint ventures, investment funds, public-private partnerships, and working capital.

David Harris has been Managing Partner of Lovells since May 1, 2005. Prior to being elected Managing Partner, he was a member of the firm's International Executive and head of the firm's finance stream, his practice focusing on capital markets and structured finance transactions.

David Hudd is head of Lovells' finance stream and a member of the firm's International Executive. He advises on all types of capital markets and structured finance transactions, acting for banks, issuers, and investors.

Steve Immelt is a Co-chair of Hogan & Hartson’s litigation group where he focuses on complex enforcement litigation, primarily in the health and life sciences industry. He also serves as the firm's Managing Partner for International Offices.

Christoph Küppers has been Lovells' Regional Managing Partner Continental Europe and a member of the International Executive since January 2009. Christoph is based in Düsseldorf and is qualified as a lawyer, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Certified Tax Advisor (CTA). He has broad experience in tax and accounting law and advises on all aspects of corporate income tax and accounting law.

Richard Olver has been Chief Financial Officer at Lovells since June 2008. He is a member of the International Executive and has overall responsibility for the firm's finance function globally. Prior to joining Lovells, Richard was a partner at Deloitte, and before that at Andersen, specializing in media, people businesses, and renewable energy.

Crispin Rapinet is a commercial litigation partner with Lovells. From 1998 to 2003 he was the Hong Kong office's Managing Partner. Since 2005 Crispin has been Regional Managing Partner of the firm's offices in Asia and the Middle East. He also is the firm's pro bono partner.

Patrick Sherrington is head of the Lovells global dispute resolution practice. His experience covers complex financial disputes, contractual and joint venture claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, banking, including, in particular, fraud and asset tracing, insurance claims, energy, product liability, and professional negligence.

Andrew Skipper heads Lovells' corporate stream and is a member of the firm's International Executive. He advises on a wide range of commercial transactions including outsourcing, supply and distribution, in addition to sponsorship, advertising, and marketing matters.

Stuart Stein is the Chair of the Hogan & Hartson corporate, securities, and finance group. His practice involves representing clients in a variety of corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, initial and follow-on public offerings, and other public and private financing transactions, primarily in the financial services industry. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.

Dennis Tracey is a Co-chair of the Hogan & Hartson litigation group. He also serves as the Managing Partner for the firm's U.S. offices as well as Managing Partner of the New York office. He practices in all areas of complex commercial litigation, with principal concentration in the areas of securities class actions, professional liability, and complex financial litigation.

Emily Yinger is the Managing Partner for the Northern Virginia office of Hogan & Hartson, a member of the firm's Executive Committee, and a Director of the firm's litigation practice. Her practice focuses on class actions and complex disputes in the health care, pharmaceutical, general commercial, and intellectual property fields.
