Bird & Bird Milan has announced the appointment of partner Arturo Meglio and three new hires in the International Corporate Practice, building both its Merger & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets teams. Arturo joins Bird & Bird’s International Corporate practice from SJ Berwin in Milan and will focus on M&A, working from both the firm’s Milan and Rome offices. Arturo regularly assists private and public companies, as well as private equity funds and financial institutions on a number of domestic and international M&A and private equity transactions including multi-jurisdictional securitization transactions across different asset classes. Also joining from SJ Berwin are Lorenzo Fratantoni as a Senior Associate and Alfonso Artesi as a Junior Associate. Both Lorenzo and Alfonso worked closely with Arturo at SJ Berwin and have been involved in recent transactions such as Anika Therapeutics Inc recent 100% acquisition of Fidia Advanced Biopolymers Srl for US $34 million. Bird & Bird Milan’s Corporate Practice has also appointed Linda Pietrostefani as a Senior Associate in its Equity Capital Markets team. Linda joins from Clifford Chance, where she was focused on equity capital market transactions, and previously, at Bonelli Erede Pappalardo.
