Ashurst has advised Warburg-Henderson Kapitalanlagegesellschaft für Immobilien mbH on the acquisition, for an undisclosed consideration, of an office and commercial building on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin on behalf of one of its newly created real estate special funds. The object of the acquisition is a building with more than 20,600 sqm rentable area in the close vicinity of the Beisheim Center, the Sony Center and the Daimlertower. The Ashurst team was led by Frankfurt real estate partner Dr Liane Muschter and comprised real estate associates Nicolas Deuerling, Michael Mehler and Dr Jan-Dirk kleine Holthaus. Frankfurt tax partner Dr Klaus Herkenroth and senior associate Nina Siewert assisted in relation to the tax aspects of the transaction.
