International law firm SJ Berwin’s European real estate department has advised Gazeley on the pre-letting and forward funding of Building 2, G Park, Crick, Northamptonshire to Butcher's Pet Care Limited. The site forms part of Gazeley's larger 95 acre development site in Crick and is the first new development since Gazeley purchased the site in November 2008. Butcher's Pet Care Limited has agreed to take a 20 year lease on a building of approximately 260,000 square feet. The transaction was forward funded by Legal and General Assurance (Pensions Management) Limited. The site is expected to be operational in 2011. Real estate partner Jo Footitt advised Gazeley, with planning partner Simon Ricketts advising on planning issues. They were assisted by David Parton, Associate in Construction and Louise Cartwright, Associate in Real Estate. Butcher's Pet Care Limited was advised by Mark Miller of Wright Hassall and Legal and General was advised by Katherine Watts and Neil Sagoo of Maples Teesdale.
