Norton Rose LLP, the international legal practice, today announced that Oliver Sutter has joined the banking department as a partner in its Frankfurt office. Oliver was Counsel at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. Principal associate Nadine Bourgeois, also coming from Freshfields, will join the Norton Rose banking team as senior associate from the end of March 2010. The team will be supported by another associate on junior level. Oliver has many years’ experience advising banks and other financial institutions and has dealt with the financing aspects in a number of high profile transactions. Oliver is a renowned expert in loan transactions and advises a large number of domestic German as well as international financial institutions and corporates. Oliver will bring considerable strength to the already growing banking team in Frankfurt. With Oliver’s appointment the total number of partners in Germany has increased to 25. Ralf Springer, head of the German banking department, comments: “This is a great opportunity to strengthen and expand our banking practice in Germany.
