Yves Wehrli has been elected to join Jan ter Haar on the firm's Management Committee to represent the interests of offices across Continental Europe (other than Germany). Yves will serve a four year term beginning 1st March 2010. Jan, who has been a member of the Management Committee since 2009 will continue until 30 April 2012. Yves has been Managing Partner of the Firm's Paris office since 2000 and a partner in the firm since 1988. In the past 10 years, under Yves' leadership, the Paris office has grown steadily and is now seen as one of the most respected law firms in the market. David Childs, Clifford Chance Managing Partner said, "I am very pleased to have Yves join the Management Committee. He brings an extensive understanding of our European offices and a good knowledge of our corporate client base." Yves said, "I am delighted to have the opportunity to play this role in the firm's management and in representing the interests of our market-leading continental European offices." Germany will retain individual representation under Hans-Josef Schneider.
