Slaughter and May advised Santander UK plc (formerly known as Abbey National plc) on the public issuance of EUR 1 billion 2.50 per cent. Covered Bonds due 2013 under the Abbey National Treasury Services plc EUR 25 billion Global Covered Bond Programme. The issuance completed on the 18 March 2010.
