NOTICIAS/ NEWS DEALS - OPERACIONES published MARCH 24, 2010 Freshfields advises Kabel Deutschland on €800m IPO International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has advised Kabel Deutschland Holding AG on its successful initial public offering on the Frankfurt stock exchange. On its first trading day, the opening share price was €22.50 while the issuing volume amounted to €759 million. Rick van Aerssen, Freshfields partner in the Munich office, commented: ‘This has been the largest IPO in Germany in the last two years and indicates a return of confidence in the capital markets.’ ‘Our enlarged Munich team, after advising on the complex refinancing of Infineon, has again successfully proved its expertise in a demanding capital markets transaction’, Rick van Aerssen added.
