NOTICIAS/ NEWS DEALS - OPERACIONES published MARCH 26, 2010 SJ Berwin advises new client Max Property Group on acquisition of office portfolio International law firm SJ Berwin’s real estate department has advised new client Max Property Group plc on the purchase of ten office investments from UBS Triton Property Fund (UBS Triton) for £36.5 million. The 760,000 sq ft portfolio consists of properties that are typically late 1980s air conditioned business parks predominantly located in the South East. Triton has been carrying out a rolling refurbishment programme with over two thirds of the vacant space now refurbished. This is Max’s second deal since the company was formed in 2009 by Nick Leslau and Mike Brown and a first for SJ Berwin with this client. Real estate partner Rob Thompson led the SJ Berwin team assisted by associate Darren Rogers. Berwin Leighton Paisner advised UBS Triton. Samant Narula, a partner, led the Berwin Leighton Paisner team assisted by senior associate, John Carver.
