NOTICIAS/ NEWS INTERNATIONAL published APRIL 05, 2010 Reed Smith makes key strategic hire with new CSR manager International law firm Reed Smith today announced the appointment of Sarah Ramwell as CSR manager. Sarah will supervise the firm’s corporate social responsibility programme for Europe and Middle East (EME). She joins Reed Smith from Freshfields, where she trained and was seconded to the firm’s pro bono team. Based in London, Sarah will be responsible for driving Reed Smith’s CSR agenda including the firm’s pro bono and community support, charity, environment and diversity & inclusion initiatives across the EME region. Michael Skrein, Reed Smith’s CSR partner for EME and Asia, commented: “CSR is key to Reed Smith. We have a number of initiatives to promote CSR issues internally and externally, where we can use our particular areas of expertise to contribute to communities locally and internationally. For example, last year 80% of our UK fee earners were involved in a pro bono matter.” Commenting on her appointment, Sarah Ramwell said: “I am very excited to be joining Reed Smith as CSR manager. Reed Smith has an outstanding CSR programme and I look forward to furthering the excellent work done by Reed Smith in this field.”
