CMS Hasche Sigle has advised the management of Brenntag in connection with its planned flotation, scheduled for the end of March. Brenntag is the world market leader in chemicals distribution (as per current market data). Acting as a bridge between chemicals producers and downstream processing industries, Brenntag delivers industrial and special-purpose chemicals comprising more than 10,000 different products to over 150,000 customers throughout the world. Brenntag AG is headquartered in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. The company plans to issue new shares worth around EUR 500 million by way of a capital increase and to place existing shares. It is seeking admission to listing on the regulated Prime Standard of Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The team led by Dr Thomas Meyding together with partners Stefan Sieling and Dr Karsten Heider (both Corporate), Dr Andreas Zanner (Capital Markets), plus Dr Achim Lindemann and Dr Oliver Simon (both Employment Law), advised the management of Brenntag AG and the company itself in matters relating to corporate, capital market and employment law. There is a long-standing relationship between the chemicals distributor and CMS Hasche Sigle. Back in 2003 and 2006, CMS Hasche Sigle advised the Brenntag management team on acquisition by private equity investors and the associated establishment and unwinding of management participation schemes.
