International law firm Reed Smith has today announced the appointment of Philipp Süss to its partnership. Philipp will join the firm’s media and technology group based in Munich as of the 1st April 2010 from Hammonds. He brings with him a team of two including Thomas Fischl (counsel) and Moritz Wagner (an associate who was previously at Hammonds). Philipp has broad expertise covering IT and outsourcing, data protection, and IP litigation. He focuses on both transactional and litigious work and recently represented a major European online ticket agency against a leading low-cost airline relating to database rights. He has also acted for several major high-tech companies in particular in the field of software and mobile devices. Stefan Kugler, managing partner of Reed Smith’s Munich office, commented: “We have a leading media and technology group, which is a major area of the firm’s investment both here and overseas.
