NOTICIAS/ NEWS INTERNACIONAL published APRIL 21, 2010 Reed Smith bolsters its US entertainment practice with new partner hire International law firm Reed Smith has announced the addition of Michael Sherman as a partner to its corporate & securities group, based in the firm’s Century City office, effective immediately. Michael was formerly chair of the Entertainment IndustriesGroup at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Marmaro LLP in Los Angeles. His practice focuses on entertainment (motion pictures, television, music, publishing and videogames), media, licensing, and advertising, as well as copyright and trademark counselling. Michael represents a diverse group of individual and institutional clients across the motion picture, television, Internet, music, theatre, sports and other industries. His recent clients include a major independent production company in syndicated financings in excess of $500 million; institutional financiers of more than $1 billion of motion picture and television production; and the creators of some of the most successful television series produced.
