International law firm Clifford Chance LLP announced today that Laurent Vallée has been appointed the Director for Civil Affairs at the French Ministry of Justice. Laurent's new role will cover civil and commercial law and the legal profession. Yves Wehrli, Managing Partner of Clifford Chance's Paris office commented: " In the past two years, Laurent has made a great contribution to the Paris office where he built up a strong tax litigation practice. We are very sorry to see him go but very happy to see him appointed to such a prestigious role." Laurent Vallée, Judge at the "Conseil d'Etat", the French administrative Supreme Court, joined the Tax group of the Clifford Chance Paris office as an 'Of Counsel' in September 2008. He was previously "Commissaire du Gouvernement" in charge of tax, finance and economic litigation.
