Linklaters has advised Dassault Systèmes, a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management solutions, on its €135 million acquisition of Exalead, a leading provider of search platforms and search-based applications for consumer and business users. The Linklaters team was led by corporate partner Marc Loy, and corporate associate Marc Petitier, in Paris. They were assisted by Laure Varachas and Christophe Carrière in corporate. Jérôme Cordier, counsel and Chek-Lhy Alice Luu advised on the employment aspects of the transaction. Linklaters' Paris office has advised on the following recent corporate transactions: Schneider Electric on the acquisition of Areva T&D; Britvic on the acquisition of Fruité Entreprises; Sperian Protection on the public takeover of Honeywell for €1.1 billion; CDC on the merger of Transdev and Veolia Transport; Sanofi-Aventis on its acquisition of Merck's interest in Merial and the exercise of its option to acquire Intervet Schering-Plough to create a world leader in animal health; Tereos on the creation of Tereos Internacional, a world leader in food ingredients and bioenergy, and AXA Private Equity on the sale of Spotless Group to BC Partners.
