NOTICIAS/ NEWS DEALS - OPERACIONES published June 29, 2010 CMS Hasche Sigle advises Wirsol Solar AG on cooperation with Schoeller Group in Italy The Schoeller Group is investing in solar projects managed by Wirsol Solar AG in Italy. The two companies signed a corresponding partnership agreement at the "Intersolar" trade show in Munich. The total capacity is initially 10 MW. The projects are located in the area of Lecce (Apulia) and Pescara (Abruzzi). A team from CMS Hasche Sigle led by Dr Björn Demuth, Dr Antje Becker-Boley and Dr Niklas Ganssauge advised Wirsol Solar AG on all aspects of the transaction. Headquartered in Waghäusel, Baden-Württemberg, Wirsol Solar AG is an international project developer for planning, constructing and financing photovoltaic power plants of all sizes. With more than 3,600 photovoltaic systems installed, Wirsol is the market leader for small and medium-sized installations. The company has a presence in Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Turkey and the US. Schoeller Renewables GmbH, a subsidiary of Schoeller Industries based in Pullach near Munich, develops renewable energy projects, focussing on solar power plants and photovoltaic systems. For this purpose Schoeller Renewables acquires suitable plots of land, obtains the necessary permits for constructing and operating the facilities and provides equity and external capital.
