NOTICIAS/ NEWS DEALS - OPERACIONES published July 02, 2010 Slaughter and May ADVISED QBE ON Acquisition of Secura NV Slaughter and May, working as an integrated team with NautaDutilh, advised QBE International Holdings (UK) plc on its acquisition of Secura NV, a Belgian reinsurance subsidiary of the KBC Group, for €267 million subject to completion adjustments. The sale, which was announced on 5 July 2010, is conditional upon regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed by the autumn. Secura is a specialised European non-life and life reinsurer with a diversified and Europe-focused customer portfolio. QBE, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, is one of the top 25 insurance and reinsurance groups in the world, with offices in 47 countries and over 13,500 employees.
