International law firm Eversheds has advised Evolution Securities on a US$35m fundraising for Central Rand Gold Limited, a South African gold mining company that is listed on the Official List of the London Stock Exchange. The transaction was structured as a firm placing together with a separate placing and open offer. The team was led by partner Chris Halliday, supported by solicitor Victoria Groves, with advice on South African issues provided by the team in Johannesburg.Chris comments: “This is a great example of our ability to use our international capabilities and sector-based focus to successfully deliver the advice that our clients require.
