Graf von Westphalen is expanding its Munich office with Dr. Peter Waltl, an experienced partner in corporate law

Dr. Dr. Peter Waltl is accompanied by his team comprising Rechtsanwältin (lawyer) Dr. Dunja Stadtmann (37) and Rechtsanwalt (lawyer) Dr. Daniel Michel, LL.M. (37).
Dr. Peter Waltl specialises in company and IT law. Having been a partner at a large cross-regional law firm for many years, he has more recently had his own law firm.
Dr. Peter Waltl mainly advises German and American companies on transactions and the structuring and drafting of contracts.
Dr. Daniel Michel, LL.M. is specialised in IT/IP law and Dr. Danja Stadtmann specialises in corporate and banking law. Dr. Dunja Stadtmann also has an excellent grasp of Chinese and will therefore be a boost to Graf von Westphalen's China desk and will help develop the Munich-Shanghai axis together with Stefan Peters, the Office Manager in China.
With Robert Alan Heym having joined the Munich Corporate Team under Dr. Ernst Lindl and Ulrich Stuhlfelner in December 2009, this practice area is thus continuing to grow and in Munich now comprises a total of four partners and four salaried lawyers.
Altogether the Munich office has grown strongly in recent months with Dr. Cornelia Erdl and Loni Goldbrunner, who both practise procurement law, having joined in January 2009.
As a consequence it has now become necessary to also expand in terms of space: Graf von Westphalen's Munich office will move to new premises in the Luitpoldblock, Maximiliansplatz 10, with effect from 1 March 2010.
Christoph J. Hauptvogel, the Office Coordinator in Munich said, "With seven equity partners, twelve further lawyers and the non-fee earners, our office in the Widenmayerstrasse has now finally become too small. We are therefore very pleased that, with the Luitpoldblock, we have found attractive premises in a central location, which also offer enough space for further growth in the future."
Dr. Peter Waltl said, "Graf von Westphalen's Munich Team offers an ideal platform for advising my clients. We will make use of a lot of synergies and particularly continue to expand our international business. The Corporate practice group's extensive know-how and excellent networking will also prove to be a great benefit to my clients."
Dr. Robert Theissen, Managing Partner said, "We can record a very positive development in Munich and, with 19 lawyers, are one of the larger and more capable teams in Munich. Dr. Peter Waltl and his team are a real asset to our Firm, both professionally and personally. Furthermore, this is a further building block in the strategic development of our Firm's corporate practice, which we were most recently able to expand with Robert Alan Heym in Munich and Dr. Dominik Ziegenhahn in Hamburg."
